Arr! It's International Talk Like A Pirate Day - and to celebrate, we'd like to introduce our latest game: "Bullion - The Curse of the Cutthroat Cattle"!
A four player local multiplayer game of fighting, looting and bovine piracy (our cast is a crew of pirate bulls, expect lots of puns!), Bullion is a first for us in many ways: our first 3D game, first time targeting PC and/or console instead of mobile, first time using Unity, first time working with a new artist... we're just starting to move from concepts and prototypes to the first alpha version, and we're really excited with how things look so far!
Bullion has its own little site which can be found here: www.bullion-game.com, and you can follow its progress on the Bullion facebook page and twitter feed - there's also the Bullion development blog on which we will be taking a closer look at how things are going, so check that out too!
Happy Talk Like A Pirate Day, everyone! Yarrrrr! Moooooo!
Much as we hate to do this, but we have decided that we will no longer be supporting Bopscotch on any of its current platforms, as of September. This is due to a combination of Microsoft closing down publishing facilities for Xbox Live Indie Games, preventing us from further updating the Xbox360 version, coupled with poor performance from the mobile versions of the game.
But it's not all doom and gloom! Another reason for this difficult decision is that we are currently working on a new project, which will take us in some completely new and different directions. We'll be introducing this new game on September 19th, so check back then for more details...
It's been a while coming, but we're very pleased to say that Bopscotch is back for iOS - and with a huge update for all platforms, including the new Lava Cave zone, level ranking, bomb blocks and updated soundtrack and visuals!
As if this wasn't enough, we've also changed the pricing on our mobile platforms, which means (big announcement time) Bopscotch is now available for free on iOS, Android and Windows Phone!
To celebrate this, we're giving away two costumes that used to be part of the paid version of the game - just download on mobile and when the game starts, the costumes will unlock. But this is only available for limited period, so get downloading now!
Great new for our Bopscotch fans on iOS - we've just submitted the latest build to the app store and it's in processing! But this is much more than a fix, and anyone who was at Bits and Bytes can tell you - this is also a huge upgrade on all platforms, with a new zone and race circuit, more levels, new puzzles, performance ranking and updated visual and soundtrack. We're hoping to launch over the Easter weekend - that's two weeks time - and with a big announcement. Stay tuned!
